My love of art first began around eight years ago when I joined a local life class, I dabbled in the various mediums and more recently have replica watches very much enjoyed working in watercolour. My first attempts were mainly in painting the birch trees which, were all around my garden, I entered some of these into my art groups summer exhibition with some success, this gave me the confidence I needed to develop my art further. Encouraged by my success I decided to enrol on a part time foundation course at Bournemouth Arts University College as a mature student, which I really enjoyed but unfortunately I had to pull out of the course after the first year due to our moving house. The course replica watches uk inspired me and I decided to carry on my passion in art and to develop my interest in watercolour, which is a new meduim for me.
We are lucky enough to live in the New Forest and have donkeys and ponies wandering around outside our cottage so I thought that I would have a go at painting them. I found the donkeys inspiring, they seem to always look so sad, especially this summer when they looked particularly depressed in the uk replica watches pouring rain.
I did a few sketches and took some photos and started on my series of paintings called ‘Drenched’ I use mainly watercolour and a little acrylic and/or pastel on some.
I also joined a local pottery group which meets weekly which gives me great enjoyment, I particularly enjoy sculpting and discovered the Giacometti style figures and Hares, as my paintings had mainly had animals as their subject I decided to transfer this style onto paper.
